Everyone knows about the Disston Thumbhole saws, but the comparable saw from Geo H Bishop does not come up very often. This is a No 8 model with a 28 inch plate.
The plate itself is clean and straight, with just a little bit of light staining. The etch is easily read. The handle is nearly flawless, with a few blemishes that it picked up over the last 105 years.
