This saw is in extraordinarily nice condition for being at least 109 years old. The plate on this Disston No 7 rip saw is 26 inches long and is extremely clean. There are a few minor pock marks on one side which will have no effect on performance. The etch is deep and bold. The handle is solid with no cracks or chips. A reddish shellac finish looks to have been applied by a previous owner. Several worn areas can still be seen where he placed his fingers while sawing.
