Here is a very fine example of an early Browne No 3 panel saw. Made by Disston, this saw has an 18 inch plate, split nut fasteners, and a stamp on the plate which is indicative of a pre-1865 manufacturing date.
The plate is in excellent condition, with no major issues. It is nearly original height and still retains its nib. The top horn on the handle is the only apology, as a previous owner trimmed it down.
The 8ppi crosscut teeth have been freshly sharpened:
Tooth Type: crosscut

Fleam Angle: 20º
