The fine apple wood handle with wheat carvings indicate that this was a premium saw offered by the Marshall-Wells Hardware Company under the Zenith brand. It is a shame that light corrosion obscured the otherwise ornate etch. Now clean and polished, the plate is straight and ready for many more years of service.
