Here is a lovely Disston D-115 crosscut saw with a rosewood handle from the 1896-1917 era. The plate is clean and straight. The primary etch is very faint. The secondary Eagle etch is visible with the slogan "Proclaim Liberty Throughout The World". The plate was shorted to 22 inches by removing a portion of the toe, which had been damaged sometime in its life. It is now a nimble, handy saw that will fit nicely into a tool chest. The top horn on the rosewood handle had some minor damaged, but was repaired nearly invisibly.
The 9ppi crosscut teeth have been freshly sharpened:
