William Dawes was from a family of sawmakers that operated in London from 1839 to 1991. William's period of operation was 1870 to 1929. This saw likely dates to the 1900 to 1920 time period.
It is in generally good condition with some minor pitting on the blade and spine. The lamb's tongue handle is solid with some chipping on the horns.
