Simonds Saw for Langdon Mitre Box No 15 1/2 -- Freshly Sharpened

Several sawmakers made saws for the diminutive Millers Falls Langdon mitre boxes. Disston made most of them, while Atkins made a few. The hardest to find, and arguably the best, were those made by Simonds.
This Simonds 2 1/2" x 16" mitre box saw was intended for use in the Millers Falls Langdon No 15 1/2 mitre box. The full height blade has a strong etch that is easily read. The apple wood handle has a few minor scratches, but no damage otherwise. The grain exhibits a bit of curliness. This fancier wood was reserved for the better saws.
The teeth have been sharpened with a fast-cutting crosscut profile with a minimal amount of set. It cuts very smoothly.
