Here is a nice Simonds No 96 backsaw in a handy 10 inch size.
Most of the original bluing on the spine remains. The blade is clean and straight, with some light staining at the toe. The etch is bold and readable. The handle is in good condition with a solid repair to the lower part of the hand loop. Steel pins were inserted across the break to provide extra strength.
The 13ppi crosscut teeth have been freshly sharpened:
