Here is a very nice rip saw sold by Preston Brothers Hardware of Norwich, Connecticut. It is exceptionally clean and straight. The etch is faint, but readable. The only flaws on the wheat-carved apple handle are a chip in the bottom of the lower horn and the initials of a previous owner carved into the side of the handle. It is otherwise smooth and unbroken, with a beautiful finish that can only be produced by the craftsman's hands.
