Since it is not marked with a maker's name, this combination saw was likely sold by a hardware store. The etch is light, but visible with the words "Combination" and "Warranted, Cast Steel".
This would be an ideal tool for cutting down lumber into project-sized pieces. Use the square function to mark a line and then cut it with 8ppi worth of freshly-sharpened crosscut teeth. The apple wood handle is dead square to the back of the blade.
