This saw is an uncommonly nice example from a time when Henry Disston's company was rapidly growing. This No 7 has a "One Son" etch and a "Two Son" medallion, indicating that it was made shortly after Henry's son Albert joined the company as a partner in 1872, but before they updated the etch design.

The nearly full depth blade is clean and straight, with a clear and bold etch. The beech handle is solid, though it does have a small chip from the top horn.

The fine 7ppi rip teeth have been freshly sharpened:

Tooth Type: rip
Rake Angle: 7º
Fleam Angle: 0º
Slope Angle: 0º
Tooth Set: 0.008"

This saw is one of several that I am selling for Michael Jenks to help him to maintain cash flow while he recuperates. Michel is the man behind Just Plane Fun - The Parts Division on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1690633051116716)
