Disston No 10 Crosscut Steeple Nuts -- from Carl Bilderback Collection
Regular price
$1,495.00
This is a fabulous example of an extremely scarce saw model. The Disston No 10 was made for a few years in the 1850s and was discontinued by Henry Disston so that he could focus on manufacturing more popular saw models. It did not appear in any known Disston catalogs.
This particular saw is from the collection of the late Carl Bilderback, one of the preeminent saw collectors in the country. It is in excellent condition for its age. The blade is straight and clean. The nib is intact. The stamp on the blade is clear and readable. The handle is solid, except for a truncated top horn and a partial split in the lower loop. The steeple nuts are original.
It would make a fine addition to any saw collection.
