Here is a fine example of one of the saws that Disston marketed to gentlemen woodworkers. The D-95 is a well-made saw sporting a beautiful rosewood handle with chromed fasteners. The blade is clean and straight with a bold etch. The handle is in excellent condition with no cracks or major chips. The damaged finish was removed and replaced with several coats of hand-rubbed Tung oil to bring out the grain structure of the rosewood.
The 12ppi crosscut teeth have been freshly sharpened:
