Disston D-115 Victory Crosscut 10ppi Rosewood -- Freshly Sharpened

This is an exquisite example of the Disston D-115 Victory saw, acquired from the collection of the late Carl Bilderback. The blade on this premium saw was highly polished at the factory and features two elaborate etches, both of which are bold and fully visible.

The rosewood handle is in perfect condition. The dense wood places much of the weight of the saw in the hand of the user. Despite the amazing condition of the saw, the original finish was badly checked. It was carefully removed and the handle finished with a hand-rubbed oil finish. The satin gloss looks great and feels nice in the hand.

The 10 ppi crosscut teeth have been freshly sharpened:
