Disston Centennial 76 Crosscut Saw 12ppi -- Freshly Sharpened
These saws do not come up very often, especially in this condition. Introduced in 1876, the Disston Centennial 76 was a throwback to earlier designs with some features of the new D8.
This nearly full-height blade is clean and straight. The 12ppi tooth line is lightly breasted, perhaps as a special order from the factory. The apple handle is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. A previous owner's initials are carved into one side. The etch is faint, though the word "Centennial" can be read. The thin, highly-tempered blade cuts smoothly.
