Buddy L Children's Toy Tool Chest Saw 10ppi -- Made by Disston
Just in time for Christmas -- 1927!
The Buddy L tool chest was the pinnacle of toys for the budding carpenter in the family. Though sold as a toy, it was full of real tools made by the best companies in the business, including Millers Falls, Kelly, Stanley, and Disston.
This saw was made by Disston for the Moline Pressed Steel Company, the maker of Buddy L products. It has a 16 inch blade with 10 ppi crosscut teeth. The etch is faint, but mostly readable. The wheat-carved beech handle is in excellent condition with only a small sliver of wood missing.
It has been freshly sharpened:
Rake Angle: 15 degrees
Fleam Angle: 20 degrees
Slope Angle: 0 degrees
Tooth Set: 0.006"
