Browne No 3 Crosscut Saw 8ppi Split Nuts -- Freshly Sharpened
Produced by Disston through their Keystone Saw Works, this Browne No 3 was aimed at the more cost-conscious carpenter. With less polish on the blade and with the use of beech for the handle instead of apple, Disston was able to price it more affordably.
This unusually clean example has an equally unusual 20 inch long blade. The blade stamp (not etch) is clear and readable. The beech handle, fitted with split nuts, is in excellent condition although a previous owner used a rasp on the underside of the upper horn.
The 8ppi crosscut teeth have been freshly sharpened.
