Vintage 12 Inch Sanderson Newbould PAX Tenon Saw 13 ppi -- New Old Stock

New Old Stock, Never Been Used -- pre-1960 Sanderson Newbould PAX tenon saw. 12 inch long plate with 13 ppi rip teeth and a heavy brass spine. This saw comes with its original hang tag and paper wrapper. Oddly, it has a Sanderson Kayser tag, so it must have been leftover stock that was fitted with a tag from after the merger in 1960.

As originally filed, the cutting performance of the PAX saws was not great due to the "lazy" tooth profile used by the factory. That has been fixed. I touched up the teeth with a proper rip tooth with 7 degrees of rake. It now cuts as it should.

The 13ppi rip teeth have been freshly sharpened:
