Made in Japan, the Somax No 250 is a faithful copy of the venerable Eclipse No 77. With its double-plunger design, the saw blade is pushed against the anvil before the hammer sets the tooth. The result is a highly uniform set on the teeth. The handle design works well on saws when the handle has not been removed from the blade.
There is some finish loss on this example, though it operates smoothly. It was disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated. All of the important features are in good condition.
