Measuring 28 inches long and 7 inches deep at the heel, the plate on this Disston No 7 is MASSIVE and in amazing condition for being 140 years old. The etch is deep and bold. The plate itself has no rust or pitting. The beech handle sports the sunken medallion design that was used from 1888 to 1896. The handle itself has some abrasions, but has no cracks or breaks.
