Here is a nice example of a Disston D-95 with the futuristic "Disstonite" handle. Produced in the late 1940's, it was Disston's attempt to make an unbreakable handle. Though some do not like the plastic look, it is actually quite comfortable.
The teeth have been freshly sharpened with a profile tuned for use on hardwood. 8 ppi is an ideal pitch for quickly breaking down lumber into pieces for a project.
