Disston 1940 Special 8ppi Crosscut Saw -- Freshly Sharpened
Disston released this saw in 1940 to commemorate the 100th year after the founding of the company by Henry. It had a handle similar to the D-23, but made of mahogany instead of beech. The plate sported an elaborate etch with an airplane, locomotive, and a car (Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!)
This saw is in good condition, with some staining on the plate. The handle has a few abrasions, though no cracks or chips.
The 8ppi crosscut teeth have been freshly sharpened:
